Hostal D ‘Cordero is a house located in the center of the city, very close to Leoncio Vidal Park, in the historic center of Santa Clara. Built in 1930 with eclectic style for the residence of Dr. Elio Fileno de Cárdenas, who was Senator of the Republic for the province of Las Villas from 1940 to 1948. The property has 5 comfortable private rooms, high strut, with natural ventilation and air conditioning. The first of the rooms is decorated in the Venetian style, followed by another that has an elegant Louis XVI furniture, both with old bathrooms with marine motifs. Also room number 3 responds to the taste of the 50s with all its restored pieces and an extensive bathroom that also responds to the way of the time. As a special detail, this piece has a large painting by local artist Juan Ramón Valdés Gómez (Yiki). The last of the rooms stands out for its Louis XV decoration, a large window with beautiful stained glass windows and a living room with wicker furniture in the style of Diana, as well as an abundant collection of Cuban and foreign paintings, both ancient and contemporary. The rest of the house also remains decorated with several collections of paintings, porcelains, crystals, bronzes and lamps, among other elegant objects. The room and the parlor display beautiful mosaics imported from Italy and furniture that belonged to the Cuban poet Dulce María Loynaz, National Literature Prize in 1987 and Miguel de Cervantes Prize in 1992. It also has a large central courtyard surrounded by a corridor with graceful columns, ornamental plants and a pergola that invites to rest and inspires tranquility, as well as an ancient fountain that represents the logo of the house. We are located just one block from Leoncio Vidal Park, in a quiet, safe area away from city traffic. Nearby are essential places for direct contact with the culture of Santa Clara and Cuba such as La Caridad Theater, the Museum of Decorative Arts and the Mejunje. Similarly, from our house you can easily access sites of historical significance such as the Ernesto Che Guevara Sculptural Ensemble and the Monument to the Armored Train. You will also find very close to our house centers that will facilitate your stay in Santa Clara as exchange houses, shops, bars, nightclubs, restaurants and tourist information desk, among others.

Cancellation / Prepayment

The following cancellation policy applies once you have paid for your reservation:

If you cancel your reservation before 31 days of your arrival, we will reimburse you for the amount paid. Less an administrative surcharge equivalent to 3% of this amount, with a minimum of 15 euros. If you cancel your reservation between 30 and 15 days prior to your arrival, we will reimburse you 50% of the amount. If you cancel your reservation within 14 days prior to your arrival date, no refund will be made. The penalty will be 100%.

In the event of unexpected departures that have not been previously negotiated with the Casa Particular, the client is penalized. Billing 100% of the amount paid for said service.

Special Note: More than two Adults in a room, is considered a Triple room. Each adult must pay a supplement of 5 CUC / Night. It is understood by clients all costs derived from transactions or bank transfers in the process of returning any amount.

Children and extra beds

All infants and children from 0 year to 12 years of age sharing a room with adults are considered free. No additional cost up to a total of 3 children per room accompanying 2 adults. Cots must be directly requested at the House, at no extra cost. In most Houses, there are no cribs available, and infants must share the bed with parents.
