Hotel El Tejadillo
hotel el tejadillo cuba boutique hotels. Hotel del Tejadillo occupies a building with a peculiar layout, the result of the fusion of three mansions from the eighteenth, nineteenth and twentieth century. Located in a place crucial for the social and religious works of the epoch, these buildings sheltered two religious schools belonging respectively to the orders of Sagrado Corazón (1888 to 1950) and Hijas de María Auxiliadora (1945 to 1961).
Behind the regal front doors of the Hotel del Tejadillo, the visitor discovers an actual colonial-style boarding house. Paintings inspired in the city, ceramic works and copper travelers feature this stopover’s decoration. The lobby resembles the living room of a Havana residence at the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, giving way to the Catedral breakfast bar.
The hotel has two inner patios: La Arcada and La Yagruma; the former exhibits a mural reminding the city’s facades and galleries, while the latter aims at quietness and contemplation. Just a few meters away from the Plaza de la Catedral, the hotel’s location enjoys a Havana’s privileged area, where the París restaurant, the Museo de Arte Colonial and the Taller Experimental de Gráfica de La Habana, among other spaces, converge.

The musical culture of Havana is rich and I would say that it is unique in the country. Its nightlife is that of a city that does not sleep, it is a constant dynamic. The sensuality of its music captures its visitors. Different cultural centers, bars, clubs and discos open their doors to hide the sun. With varied rhythms, Havana nights become a spectacle. El Vedado is the center of this nightlife in the capital of Cubans.

El Floridita Bar in Havana.
A whole tradition in Havana. It is located on Calle Obispo 557, Old Havana. Well known for his excellent daiquiri and closely related to the figure of Hemingway. The bar opened the doors with the name of Piña de Plata in the year 1817. Only a little later they called it Floridita. Later in the year 1910 it was expanded with the restaurant areas where a French chef worked.
In 1914 a Catalan called Constantino Ribalaigua began to work as a clerk. 4 years later I would buy the activity to the family room. Many say that it was Constantino who brought the daiquiri to Havana for the first time. a drink that was born inside Cuba.
Bar La Bodeguita del Medio.
Specifically in the street Empedrado 207, Old Havana. It is considered the most popular of Havana bars. The mojito is the main figure, one of its most frequent customers was Hemingway. But it has been visited by dissimilar personalities among them Fidel, Salvador Allende, Nicolás Guillén, the American president Obama, among others. Treasures on its walls the signature of each of them, the only attribute that insurance you will not find anywhere else. Do not stop seeing this in Cuba.
